Catching Up

Wow, it's been quite busy since the last post in March. We didn't post anything new because we wanted everyone to see the wedding info right away when they visited our site. Now that we're hitched, it's time to give an update of everything that's been going on, heck, I'll even include some pics!! This will be hard to do however because I'm trying to remember what happened 7 months ago, which is way over my thresh hold of 24 hours ago, but I'll do my best.

March - We moved into our newly built house. You might not believe it, but we don't have a pic of it. That's OK since most of you have seen it anyway! That's about it for March actually.
April - I got to fly the president's helicopter around for a few days.

May -

June - I had my Bachelor party in Vegas... I'm sure no one wants to see any pics of that so I won't post any.

July -

August - The big month! We started off the events with some of our family coming into town a week before the wedding. It was great to have all the extra help! The events began with Carolyn's Bridal shower. She had it at a "cute" little tea house in WA. They had lunch, tea and played some games. You should have seen the answers from the game "What the bride is going to say on her wedding night," hysterical... for example Carolyn said, "It looks like a little sailor!"

Next we had a combined Bachelor/ette party entitled "Golf Pros and Tennis Ho's." It was a great night up in Seattle. Hans won the best costume as you can see why. Special shout out to Dan who drove all us not sober people around.

It was finally time for the big day. The weather was perfect, Carolyn looked incredible, everything went off without a hitch... what? Our DJ didn't show up? True, but Mikey quickly filled in as the DJ unitl another DJ (friend of the photographer) showed up. To make a long story short, our DJ was embezzeling money by deleting his clients out of the computer/registry at his headquarters. He would show up to his weddings, take a check, keep it and never give it to the company he worked for. He was doing great until he literally forgot about our wedding. Anyway, we got our money back and he got in a ton of trouble!

Even with that little hickup, Weddingville 2007 went extremely well, especially due to everyone who heped out... Thanks!
We then went on our Honeymoon in Italy! You might say that 19 days is too long, but you'd be wrong. We started the trip in Milan, which was pretty much closed (yes, the city of Milan was closed) due to a national holiday during the time we were in the city. We made the best of it! We held some pigeons...

Here's a pic of the church where we DIDN'T see the Last Supper. It's not a regular museum where you wait in an extremely long line, pay an exorbinent amount of money, look at waht you came to see and leave, appearantly you need to make reservations at least 3 weeks in advance and can do so no the web. If you ever go there, please heed this advice.

Overall we liked Milan but were happy we styaed only 2 days. It would be nice to go back during opera season and catch one and lso see the Last Supper now that we know the rules.

We left Milan for Lake Como, more specifically Bellagio. We absolutely loved it! You had to get there by boat taxis and once you got there you saw the quint essential streets...

Our hotel room was amazing. It was on the top floor and had 2 balconies overlooking the lake. Here's my better half with the view.

After Bellagio we took a train to the Cinque Terra. It was a region on the West coast that includes 5 little towns built up on the cliffs. There were a lot of steps.

We left Cinque Terra .
